walcheren

This chapter from my Netherlands special is about the southwest province of Zeeland, land of water, dykes and historic towns and villages. Most photos come from Middelburg, Zeeland's capital, and a pretty town itself. Then I've got a few photos from other places on Walcheren, such as the historic villages of Veere and beachtown Domburg.

From the island of Schouwen-Duiveland there are photos from Zierikzee and Burgh-Haanstede. From Noord-Beveland island I've got some photos from the village of Kortgene and from the two roads that connect with Schouwen-Duiveland: the Zeelandbrug and the Oosterscheldedam. From Zuid-Beveland by now there's only two panoramic shots of the Wilhelminapolder.
