schelde

This chapter from my Netherlands special is about the southwest province of Zeeland, land of water, dykes and historic towns and villages. Most photos here come from the Oosterschelde and the Westerschelde, the largest sea-arms in the province. From the island of Schouwen-Duiveland there are photos from Zierikzee and Burgh-Haanstede. From Noord-Beveland island I've got some photos from the village of Kortgene and from the two roads that connect with Schouwen-Duiveland: the Zeelandbrug and the Oosterscheldedam. From Zuid-Beveland by now there's only two panoramic shots of the Wilhelminapolder. In Zeeuws Vlaanderen I visited Hulst and saw accross the Westerschelde.

Photos from Walcheren, such as Middelburg, Zeeland's capital, the historic village of Veere and beachtown Domburg you can find in another chapter.
