This chapter in my Netherlands series is on the western part of Overijssel, an area dominated by the IJssel river, wetlands and historic cities like Zwolle, Deventer and Kampen.
I've added photos of Zwolle and Deventer, the traditional Staphorst village, canalvillage "Venice of the North" Giethoorn and Beulakerwijde, the latter showing the area after heavy snow.
