The chapel of Notre Dame du Haut is one of the masterworks by Architect Le Corbusier.
The opening was 50 years ago in 1955 but to me the design has a timeless quality.
The building is situated in the Vosges mountains in northeastern France in the village of ronchamp.
Most striking in the design is the fragility of the light entering the massive building.
This idea may be taken from medieval designs, but Le Corbusier turns it into a modern thing.
Apart from interior and exteriorphotos of the chapel I've got some photos of the nearby shelter where monks could sleep and work while in the area.
