El Raval is the older cityquarter just south of the central Ramblas Boulevard.
It's a lively neighbourhood with lots of streetlife to be enjoyed.
The area around the Museum of Contemporary Art and the cilture Center has been revitalised in recent years, and make a good addition in the attractivity of Raval.
The photos mentioned under alleys are more of less images from the streetlevel. For facades you have to look up high.
