This series shows the southern part of the Hudson Valley. New York City is only a few miles away, but the world has changed so much here.
My photos show places on both sides of the Hudson River, starting in Kingston, the first State Capital and a town with a distinct Dutch heritage.
It's nice to walk around here.
Quite different is the Performing Arts Center at Bard College on the east side of the Hudson.
This Frank Gehry design contrasts heavily with the surrounding area, but blends with the coloured autumn leaves.
Somewhat south you can find the Vanderbilt Mansion east of the Hudson or Nyack on the west.
My series ends in Newark, actually in New Jersey.
