May 2, 2010 was a historic day for the local Enschede footballteam of FC Twente. For the first time since its birth in 1965 the team won the national football championship. So on may 3, there was a huge celebration next to the stadium attended by a crowd of over 30.000.

The celebrations started at around 4 pm, while the official programme took place from at around 6 pm. All the team players were introduced at the stage, as were the coach and the chairman. Also the mayor of Enschede got time to say a few words.
