alpilles

This series from Bouches de Rhône province captures the villages of Les Baux and Saint Rémy. These villages are seperated from each other by the hilly Alpilles. Both of them are laid back villages, though they are very different in in the way they look. Les Baux is the more touristic one, upon a mountian ridge, in the shadow of its castleruin. The narrow alleys get packed with tourists every day. Saint Rémy has some Vincent van Gogh history, but does not show that really. It's a nice village with platan trees and a pretty old town within the boulevards.
