Yan'An Elevated Highway runs from the west right into the heart of Shanghai, passing the French Concession and People's Square just for going underground into the Huangpu Tunnel.
Somewhere in between downtwon and the French Concession the inytersection with Chong Qing Elevated Highway gives an immense concrete structure of fly overs, passing unders, tunnels and standard roads.
Here's Yan'An Greenspace, a small park of green and water that contrasts with the concrete highway.
At night Yan'An Elevated is illuminated from below. Blue lights give the highway an almost fairytale atmosphere.
The highwway is no longer a road, but an imanginary roof with sparkling lights.
