Val Verzasca is just north of Locarno. It's an extraordinary valley with a colourful river, tiny villages and a great landscape.
The river is the main focus with its clear and crystal waters around large boulders.
Sunbathers are in attracted to the valley in summer in large hurds.
Nevertheless the beauty is still here.
Other focal points are the village of Lavertezzo and the nearby double-arched bridge Dei Salti.
