This series of Austria photos focusses on the central and highest Alps.
Most of this area is protected in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Within this park I photgraphed two mountain ranges: the Grossglockner, Austria's highest peak 3700 meters above the sea, and the Ankogel/Reisseck range, a little more to the east.
Both these areas give spectacular landscapes and views. There are many highlights, of which I will mention the glacier of the Grossglockner, named Pasterzen,
the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the highest road in the Alps and the Reisseckgruppe with it's high lakes and stunning views.
