Suzhou Creek is a small river that flows into the Huangpu right in the center of Shanghai.
Its recent history is one of a heavily polluted river, but in the last years the area is cleaned and renovated entirely.
The banks of the Suzhou Creek are used for various fitness exercises.
In between Suzhou Creek and Nanjing Roads there are many old quarters, called lilong or longtang.
You can view photos of two lilongs, the first one being just north of Beijing Road, the second one more to the south.
Photos of the new built areas along Suzhou Creek can be found in my special Suzhou River.
You can navigate by clicking about any object in the site. All together my Shanghai series has about 600 photos.
Just clicking any photo will get you to the next one in line. I hope you enjoy. Let me know.
