This series on Rhineland Palatinate (Rheinland Pfalz) is a winterseries in autumn weather.
It's a nice area with friendly wineproducing towns and villages.
Bernkastel-Kuess is a wellknown and pretty one.
Bernkastel is the more touristic part, although I prefer my photos from the Kuess bank of river Mosel.
The city in the area is Trier, the oldest city in Germany with a few remains of Roman times, such as great Porta Nigra.
More to the south, I've added a few photos from Speyer and Worms, also cities with history.
