The Matterhorn could have been the standard when thinking of how alpine mountains would look like.
Although its peak over 4000 is one of the higher peaks in the area, it's not the highest - The Dufourspitze reaching 4638 meters is. But the most amazing one.
Standing solitary, only flanked by the ever present clouds.
This special shows some of the Matterhorn area, most of them made during an trip with the Gornergratbahn up to the 3100 meter high Gornergrat,
and a rewarding hike down to Riffelberg.
