This series in my New York Special has photos from the new High Line Park.
This park on the tracks of a former elevated railway track runs roughly from the 13th to the 20th street following more or less 10th Avenue.
I was there a few weeks after th eopening on a summers day, when the park was filled with people enjoying the sun, having luch, walking accross the plants and railway track remains.
While the park is narrow it winds itself in between Chelsea low- and highrise. Also in the Chelsea chapter are photos fromt he High Line Park area.
Within a few years the High Line Park should be expanded up to the 34th Street.
