Gugong, the Forbiden City or Palace Museum, seems to be the focal point for tourists in Beijing. That's not so strange considering the beauty, the colours, the details and the amazing size of this palace of the former Chinese emperors. Coming through the Tian'anmen Gate, that faces the Square of Heavenly Peace you'll pass the beautiful Gate and Hall of Supreme Harmony, with a grandeur that will even let an emperor feel small. Further down there are the Western Palaces and the Court of Eternal Longevity. The Imperial Garden is the other entrance on the northside of the palace.
