One of the main faces of Barcelona is created by the architect Antoni Gaudi.
six of his designs are subject of the Gaudi chapters in my Barcelona pages.
The first one is Parc Guell, a large park in the quarter of Gracia.
I really like this park that gives beautiful examples of a combination of nature and culture.
The second one is Casa Mila, also called la Pedrera, with its beautiful roofterrace.
One block further up Passeig de Gracia is Casa Batllo, with a marvellous tiled facade and a great interior.
Casa Vicens is Gaudi's first work. The forms are not that organic, but refer to nature already.
The last of the Gaudi designs here is perhaps the most famous: the cathedral of Sagrada Familia. Still not finished although started a century ago.
