The French Concession in it's history has had many influences from France and other countries.
But nowadays it's a pretty relaxed and lively neighbourhood just south of downtown.
Xiangjiang Park is the heart of the French Concession. It's a typical Chinese park with people practicing Tai Chi, ballroom dances and fighting sports.
And where Chinese checkers is very popular. Also the streets like Shaanxi Ropad are beautiful, mainly because the many trees that line the streets.
